Mariss Jansons wins Ernst von Siemens Music Prize

We would like to congratulate our titular patron Mariss Jansons, who was honoured in this year with the so called «Nobel Prize of Music», the Ernst von Siemens Musikpreis, for his outstanding achievements – especially his work with the new generation of musicians. Jansons impressed the Ernst von Siemens foundation as a «Conductor personality who wholly lives in and from his deep confidence in music».

Madeleine K. Albright and Mariss Jansons take over Titular Patronage

Mariss Janons succeeds Josef Suk as Titular Patron of the MARTINŮ FESTTAGE. The chief conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam and the Symphony Orchestra of the Bayerischen Rundfunks is well known for his engagement for Bohuslav Martinů.

Furthermore we are delighted to announce that the former United States Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright has agreed to take over the Titular Patronage as a successor to Václav Havel.
